Computer Science: Scratch

Learn to program your own interactive stories, games and animations using Scratch. Scratch is freely accessible coding program that provides students with the opportunity to think creatively, problem solve, and work collaboratively. Scratch can be integrated into content areas such as math, ELA and more. It is appropriate for elementary through high school.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Create a basic Scratch program
  • Add sounds and images to customize the Scratch program
  • Integrate fundamental programming concepts such as loops and conditionals
  • Identify examples of integrating Scratch into specific content areas
