Sharla Steever

Sharla Steever is a Learning Specialist at TIE . Previously she worked as an elementary teacher at Hill City Elementary teaching 3rd and 4th grades for the past 11 years. Prior to teaching in Hill City, Sharla was the director of Placerville Camp and Retreat Center. Sharla is a 2011 Classroom Teaching Ambassador Fellow with the US Department of Education and an elementary science recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching. She is a Nationally Board Certified Middle Childhood Generalist and a graduate of Northern State University with a BS in Elementary Education and Black Hills State University with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction Technology Integrationist. She is a Licensed Minister with the United Church of Christ, and is also a Facilitator for Courage to Teach.
