Course Description

Open Education Resources (OER) are freely available courses, textbooks, activities and more that are licensed for reuse. Incorporating them can save money, empower teachers and provide students with relevant, high quality content. This session will cover OER resources that are being developed in South Dakota schools along with other resources that are freely available for your school.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • identify the considerations for implementing OER in their classroom or school
  • incorporate OER resources into their classrooms and schools
  • evaluate OER resources to determine if they want to use them in their classroom and schools
