Jeanne Burckhard-McKenna joined the TIE staff in the fall of 2015. She has 28 years in the field of education as a teacher, coach, and administrator in South Dakota. She also worked in the corporate world as a manager for 8 years. Jeanne lives in Sturgis with her husband, Steve, who is from Scotland. Her daughter, Kelci, lives in Sturgis with her granddaughter, Harper, who is six, and the delight of her life. Jeanne and her husband love to camp, ride motorcycles, spoil Harper, and enjoy the Black Hills. She also spends a lot of her spare time coordinating local donation efforts for some of the districts that TIE serves to help families in need and the homeless. “Be the change that you want to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi
