Course Description

The purpose of this training is to motivate your students to practice and sharpen critical thinking skills through the use of film. Film is a powerful visual medium that, if used correctly, can make learning fun and build confidence in all students. You will be guided in how to incorporate film reading/viewing strategies into an engaging lesson.

  • relate film techniques to literary elements
  • engage in close “readings” of film text
  • model how to use film-specific language to analyze and interpret film text
  • create a lesson utilizing film text in their course
