Barb Rowenhorst has been a learning specialist with TIE since 2006. She trains teachers in instructional strategies and collaborates with districts to provide systemic professional development. Barb has received a BS dual degree in Elementary and Special Education, an MS degree in Education, and is certified as a K-12 Reading Specialist, teacher educator, and middle school language arts and social science teacher. Barb taught 25 years in the Rapid City School District and has been a SD READS instructor/literacy coach and regional director. Barb is a state MTSS/RTI coordinator and as a part of that, trains teachers on how to administer the DIBELS Next and AIMSweb assessments, and how to analyze the data. She is an instructor for the CORE Sourcebook DOE Foundational Skills. Barb also trains teachers on several other SD DOE initiatives.
