  • Blogs, Wikis and Podcasts – Web 2.0 technologies offer great potential as tools to engage students in the teaching and learning process. TIE staff can help teachers learn how to use these technologies to strengthen students’ critical thinking, writing, reflection, and interactive learning.
  • MarcoPolo (ThinkFinity) - MarcoPolo’s Free Internet Content provides a wide array of online tools and resources to engage students in all curricular areas. MarcoPolo Content Partners have produced seven discipline-specific, standards-based Web sites geared primarily toward K-12 teachers and students. Today’s students are digital and visual learners who thrive on collaboration.
  • 21 st Century Skills – What skills do students today need for this new millennium? 21st Century Skills offers an opportunity to set a higher bar for student achievement. This experience will examine the writings of several prominent organizations concerning 21st Century Skills and dialog about the challenges and/or barriers for implementing those skills in schools today.
  • Technology Integration in the Classroom – TIE staff work with teachers to bring together content standards and technology standards in a way that energizes classroom instruction and engages students. There are appropriate technology tools that can be used effectively with all grade levels and subject areas.
