What is TIE membership?
TIE Membership is an annual district or agency-level subscription to assist in school districts in leveraging and maximizing resources. Membership benefits are available to every teacher and administrator within a member organization.
TIE Membership fees and benefits are based on K-12 district student enrollment:

Who benefits from TIE membership?
Our 190 member school districts and organizations benefit from district level discounts to quality professional learning, while every teacher and administrator within these member agencies may utilize the individual learning benefits. More than 90% of SD school districts, as well as numerous other learning organizations, currently benefit from TIE membership HERE .
Vendor discounts, online course participation, individual school district contracts, and TIE Conference discounts contribute to additional savings, which last year totaled over $400,000 for TIE member school districts.
Why should a district become a TIE member?
TIE membership districts save money & time by utilizing the following 2012-2013 benefits:
Free online workshops. TIE provides numerous online workshops throughout the year on topics ranging from Common Core, iPads in the Classroom, Google – all the way to understanding to fostering 21st century skills. Educators may choose from ongoing, self-paced or scheduled online workshops conducted via a browser-based learning platform, most of which provide the option of earning graduate credit.
Reduced rates for individual school district contracts. TIE learning specialists conduct customized professional development or project management at your school site at rates significantly lower than for non-member districts.
Free Tech Tuesday Webinars. Each one-hour, after-school webinar features a new app or web-based technology providing step-by-step information and engagement with a TIE Learning Specialist. Held the first Tuesday of every month at 3:30 MST/4:30 CST, these live webinars require only an Internet connection to Google Hangouts--no telephones, microphones, or webcams needed. No prior experience of the featured product is necessary and each webinar is recorded for later review.
Free administrator attendance PLUS educator discounts to TIE conference. SD’s premier educational conference, the annual spring TIE Conference features 30 in-depth and 120 breakout sessions, more than 100 exhibiters, technology project meetings and personal networking to encourage implementation of 21st century learning and technology trends. Discounted general registration is available to all educators from TIE membership districts, as well as a free general registration for a superintendent, principal, or school board member of Tier 2-4 members, while Tier 5-6 members receive two free administrator general registrations.
Free customized, technical training delivered by New Horizons. Specific and timely professional development for technology coordinators/network administrators provides the right training at the right time to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Tier 2-4 districts receive the equivalent of 2 full days of training (an $800 value) and Tier 5-6 districts receive 4 days ($1,600 value) from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers via classroom, Online LIVE® or Mentored Learning® courses.
Discounts from TIE vendor partners. Membership districts reduce costs on hardware, software, professional services, and more by purchasing products from over 30 TIE Membership Vendor Partners who often make special offers to membership districts.
When may a district become a member?
TIE membership year is July 1 to June 30, allowing educators to participate in summer offerings, such as online workshops in addition to the school year benefits.
How is membership initiated?
